中世纪荷兰的闭塞村庄中，无法生育的弗里达被村民与教会视为不祥之人，只能在祈祷与仪式中寻求救赎。当她从被视为禁地的森林中侥幸逃脱屠夫的骚扰并安然返回时，被村民认定为与恶魔勾结的女巫。走投无路的弗里达，在森林中接触到潜藏的黑暗力量，逐渐觉醒为传说中的“白衣女妖”，以复仇之火回应村庄的偏见与压迫。
