最后的食人族世界

　　本·金斯利将出演[作家之死](Death of an Author，暂译)，导演丹尼尔·阿尔弗雷森([玩火的女孩])。影片改编自哈坎·奈瑟即将出版的“阴谋”三部曲小说首部，三部曲均将被搬上大银幕。故事背景设置在北欧某国，主题则与奈瑟此前小说风格一致，讲述了一个交织着犯罪、复仇、逃亡与救赎的故事。

自古以來，民間就流傳著關於黑暗精靈澤斯蒂爾納克的傳說。這些神話生物擁有修長的利爪和非人的力量，以人類血液為食。如今，已無人相信他們的存在，但他們仍舊生活在我們之中。米拉斯是來自阿拉木圖的一個普通年輕人，卻被美麗又成功的女孩艾娜愛上。米拉斯的父母樂見兒子攀上這門好親事，並樂意與艾娜富有的家庭結為親家。然而，他們卻不知道，新親家那棟豪華宅邸的門後，隱藏著什麼樣的驚人祕密。

All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
